• There will be (provisionally) a men's and/or women's singles match in Rod Laver Arena at every session.
• The women's doubles final will be held on Friday January 28; the men's doubles final on Saturday January 29 and the mixed doubles final on Sunday January 30.
• Day matches will commence at 11 am on all courts except for Friday January 28 and Saturday January 29, when play on outside courts will commence at 3 pm and 1 pm respectively. No play is scheduled on the outside courts on Sunday.
• At Rod Laver Arena, matches commence at 3 pm on Friday January 28, at 1 pm on Saturday January 29 and 4:30 pm on Sunday January 30.
• Night matches at Rod Laver Arena commence at 7:00 pm from Monday January 17 until Sunday January 23. From Monday January 24 until Thursday January 27 night matches at Rod Laver Arena will commence at 7:30 pm. Night matches at both Hisense Arena (Friday January 21 and Saturday January 22) and Margaret Court Arena (Monday January 17-Saturday January 22) will commence at 7:00 pm.
• The women's singles final is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Saturday January 29.
• The men's singles final is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Sunday January 30.
• Two night sessions at Hisense Arena on Friday January 21 and Saturday January 22.
• The Australian Open Junior Championships 2011 is played from Sunday January 23 to Saturday January 29.
